Self-educated, Lulinha Alencar, began to play the piano at 15 years old and began to play the accordion in 1999 and moved to São Paulo, where he found the opportunity to show his work as 'sanfoneira' (accordionist). His work revisits his own 'country' origins gathered with new elements influenced by urban sounds as well from masters, exploring arrangements, which go from the traditional to the contemporary music.
